The 14th Annual Warrior Competition for Special Operations Forces which was about to be held at KASOTC in Jordan has been postponed, reports Bob Morrison.

Last night we received the following, not entirely unexpected, message from our friends at KASOTC (King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center) in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan:-
“Due to the current regional situation and its impact on airspace closures and flight cancellations, we regret to inform you that KASOTC’s 14th Annual Warrior Competition has been postponed to the new dates of October 5th–9th, 2025. We understand the anticipation and the efforts that go to preparing for this event, but thoughtful consideration has been invested with relevant parties to reach the postponement decision. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these challenging times.”

Editor’s Footnote: It had been my intention to fly out to Amman on Friday to spend a week inside KASOTC covering AWC14, so to say I am disappointed is a bit of an understatement ~ and especially so as medical treatment prevented me covering last year’s event. However I have to admit that female family and friends seem to be a little relieved that I won’t now be directly under the flightpath of missiles brought down short over this lovely country and its welcoming people. Hopefully my many contacts in the region, accrued over 21 years of visiting the Kingdom, will remain safe and I’ll get the chance to meet them again a bit later in the year.
