Operators from Poland’s elite Jednostka Wojskowa GROM last week supported a USMC HIRAIN live fire during BALTOPS (Baltic Operations) 25.

BALTOPS 25, the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, provides an unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.

Last week at Klaipėda in Lithuania a US Marine Corps M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) with Fox Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, was loaded onto a USMC C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft to conduct a HIRAIN (HIMARS Rapid Infiltration) in Poland during Exercise BALTOPS 25. After landing, Polish Army vehicles convoyed to a firing position with the M142 HIMARS and Polish JW (Jednostka Wojskowa) GROM (THUNDER) defended the launcher during a rocket live-fire training mission.

The sand coloured vehicle used by GROM was a Defenture GRF / VECTOR and the green vehicle in front of this in the convoy photo was an AP (Auto Podlasie) AERO.
