By the start of the KING’S CHALLENGE event yesterday (Wednesday 08 October) it was beginning to look like therre might be a surprise winner of this year’s edition of the international multi-day competitive event for Special Operations Forces, but when by the end of the day at least five teams out of the final fifteen had missed a key target during the urban patrol live-fire leg in the closing stage it seemed more like a certainty.

It is going to take me a while to both sort through the shedload of images I have captured this week while out in the Hashemite Kingdom and collate all my notes to allow me to prepare more in-depth features, but as I appreciate many of our readers will be keen to discover which teams ascended to the pinnacle of success I felt it best to post this brief update. For the record, it was the Jordanian Special Forces team who took Third Place, Brunei’s RPK (Rejimen Pasukan Khas) Team 1 landed Second Place and, as previously mentioned, Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service team beat them and the other 35 teams to be declared overall winners of the 14th Annual Warrior Competition.
