Earlier this week, following the last minute postponement of AWC 2025, I visited the inaugural Blue Light Show in London Olympia’s Grand Hall, reports Bob Morrison.

The Blue Light Show in London was created “to offer emergency services professionals an unrivalled experience” with expert-led conference content and live demonstrations as well as an exhibition for specialist suppliers to the Police, Fire and Ambulance sectors. Interactive features at the event, which was co-located with the Forensics Europe Expo, Fire Safety Live and Safety Health and Wellbeing Live, included: the College of Paramedics Theatre; Emergency Medicine; Policing in Practice; Communications & Technology Zone; The Senior Leadership Forum; Collaborative Procurement Zone; and Technical Rescue and Rescue at Height.

The late postponement of this year’s Annual Warrior Competition at KASOTC in Jordan meant I unexpectedly had some free time this week, so I jumped on an early morning train to the big city (Olympia is just three stops on the Overground from Clapham Junction) and spent a few hours catching up with some of our advertisers who service the Blue Light sector as well as the military. It turned out to be an interesting, informative and enlightening day.
