ORIENT SHIELD 21 ~ US Army and Marines HIMARS

US Army and US Marines HIMARS units have conducted a Rehearsal of Concept drill during ORIENT SHIELD 21-1 on Okinawa.

A Battery, 1-94th Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Field Artillery Brigade and Battery R, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force have conduct a Rehearsal of Concept drill during Exercise ORIENT SHIELD 21-1 at Kin Red Beach Training Area on Okinawa.

ORIENT SHIELD is a large annual US Army field training exercise in Japan that tests and refines multi-domain operations. This year’s exercise, OS 21-1, is being conducted concurrently during Exercise KEEN SWORD 21. Yesterday, 31 October, US Army and US Marine M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) disembarked LSV-4 (Logistics Support Vessel 4) Lt. General William B. Bunker to execute live rapid equipment deployment training. The watercraft manoeuvred multiple US Army and US Marine M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems in the Ryukyu south-west island archipelago chain.
