Multinational troops with enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Latvia practised urban warfare skills during Exercise URBAN TESTUDO, held at Pabrade Training Grounds in Lithuania.

In late March 2019, soldiers from Canada, the Czech Republic, Italy, Montenegro, Slovenia and Spain practised breaching and clearing buildings while moving and operating in populated areas. Meanwhile, snipers with the Royal Netherlands Army 17th Armoured Infantry Battalion’s Charlie Company – currently assigned to enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Lithuania – practised close-quarters fighting with live ammunition.

The exercise demonstrated Allies’ ability to work seamlessly together, enhancing their readiness and cooperation throughout the Baltic region. Footage includes shots of Italian and Canadian soldiers clearing buildings, and Dutch snipers training on a live-fire course.
