American and Italian Paratroopers jumped from US Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft over Rivolto Air Base on Thursday 18th February on EAGLE ACE II.

US Army Paratroopers assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade plus Italian Army Paratroopers assigned to the 4th Alpini Regiment and the Italian Air Force 16th Wing Force Protection and 3rd Wing, conducted an airborne operation (under COVID-19 prevention conditions) from US Air Force 86th Air Wing C-130 Hercules aircraft onto Rivolto Italian Air Force Base, Udine, Italy, on Thursday 18th February 2021.
The purpose of this operation, EAGLE ACE II, was to “improve relationship with host nation, strengthen the alliance and increase NATO interoperability”. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the US Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projecting ready forces anywhere in the US European, Africa or Central Commands’ areas of responsibility.
