Russian Navy Defends Northern Fleet Command Centre

On the eve of the Day of the Fatherland’s Defender the Russian Northern Fleet held a training exercise to repel a terrorist attack on a secure facility.

 

Press Release: On the eve of the Day of the Fatherland’s Defender [День защитника Отечества – 23rd February 2019], the main base of the Northern Fleet passed a training to repel a terrorist attack on an important protected object.

The servicemen of a guard company of the Northern Fleet control centre and personnel of the watch-and-duty service trained to repel attack of mock terrorists on the headquarters of the Northern Fleet. According to the exercise plan, a group of armed people, using transport, made an attempt to penetrate through the checkpoint into the headquarters territory.

 

The training event was held in accordance with the training plan for the Command Centre of the Northern Fleet. Such exercises and trainings are conducted regularly, in cooperation with the territorial bodies of the Russian law enforcement agencies located in the fleet’s area of responsibility.
