Both Carl Schulze and myself have been on-site since early Sunday morning to allow us first to cover the Press Preview of the dynamic displays which are scheduled to take place over the course of this week, then to attend the main expo which opens this morning. First to go through their paces yesterdy were BRI, the French Police rapid intervention brigade charged with protecting Paris, and in the afternoon the French Army took to the stage, closely followed by GIGN and then RAID.
Things look like they are likely to be a little hectic over the next few days, as just a quick tour around one of the main halls last night (while the stands were being finished off) revealed that defence manufacturers from around the globe have flocked back to Paris in droves now that COVID travel restrictions have eased off. We will report further when we get the chance, but ask that you please bear with us as we attend the many press launches scheduled over the next couple of days.
