A Royal Marine Major who served with the US Marine Corps Task Force Southwest 19.1 in Afghanistan has been awarded the US Bronze Star Medal.

At an award ceremony at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on 3rd June 2020 Royal Marine Major James A. Fuller, the future operations officer with 2nd [US] Marine Regiment, received the Bronze Star for his distinctive contributions and efforts as the assistant operations officer with TFSW (Task Force Southwest) 19.1, US Marine Corps Forces Central Command in Afghanistan. Major Fuller directly increased TSFW’s combat effectiveness and operational reach in Helmand Province.
