$168 million US MRE Bakery Components Contract

Sterling Foods has been awarded a $168 million (max) contract for the production and delivery of US MRE (Meal Ready-to-Eat) bakery components.

US DoD Contract Notice, Washington, 20 September 2021: Sterling BV Inc., doing business as Sterling Foods, San Antonio, Texas, has been awarded a maximum $168,058,194 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the production and delivery of Meal, Ready-to-Eat bakery components.

This was a competitive acquisition with five responses received. This is a five-year contract with no option periods. Location of performance is Texas, with an Oct. 30, 2026, ordering period end date. Using military services are Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2022 through 2027 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
