Keela Nevis Trousers

These new water-resistant Nevis Trousers from Keela offer four-way stretch for comfort, reinforced knee and seat areas and zipped pockets, writes Mike Gormley.

It is good to be able to report that rather than struggling due to High Street outlet closures, Keela have been extremely busy over the COVID period. They took on various projects for the NHS and had to double their workforce to produced over half a million PPE garments. All this alongside their normal work which included launching these new Nevis Trousers. Whoever said manufacturing in the UK was dead.

The Nevis joins a range of trouser models from Keela and are what you may call ‘easy wear’ trousers. They are made from a four-way stretch material so whatever you are getting up to, these will not impair movement. Great for trousers meant for the active outdoor environment. Importantly to match this theme they have reinforced knee sections which are also pre-shaped so bend easily with your knees. The seat is also reinforced for those moments of rest on a handy rocky outcrop. The inside ankle area is also given reinforcement against scuffing and the lower leg is zipped to make life easier getting geared up in a confined space.

As well as being very good on the hill, these are great for everyday use and don’t look out of place in (or outside at the moment) the pub. My only negative on these would be they lack leg ‘cargo’ pockets, which for me are close to essential on these sorts of trousers.
