Klean Kanteen is a brand that has gone from strength to strength in recent times. All items from this manufacturer I have used have not only worked, but worked well. They are robust and easy to use and this 750ml flask (500ml and 1-litre versions are available) is no different.

The flask consists of three parts – main container, screw cap and mug [©MG]

I can see this TKPro model appealing to the military user. It is matt black for starters, saving all that gaffer tape which gets stringy and nasty with use, though non-tactical plain metal versions are also available in all three sizes. This flask looks a bit different somehow, with reasons, but I can assure you it works as it should. It will keep your brew hot for as long as you realistically need and will also keep a cold drink cold for good time if you are out in the heat. Additionally, the top is wide enough to take a few ice cubes if you want, or even chunky soup. Altogether it’s easy to keep clean and even the seals pop off for a clean; great if you are in the field for a while.

This flask is more or less totally food grade stainless steel with only two silicone seals – i.e. no plastic. The screw cap, with trademarked TH Closure design, allows for 360 degree pouring without removal, so maintaining the temperature inside. Nice one KK.
