I know you will have done it. Tried to get that last bit of air out of the dry sack to conserve volume inside the bergen. Not easy, is it? Snugpak have got this sorted with their Dri-Sak™ With Air Valve.
Simple really as it really only takes a vent valve in the side of the dry bag so you can roll it up and seal it off as normal and then let the remaining air out. You can further adjust the roll top to get the rest of the air out if you need to. The sack is as waterproof / dustproof as ever and you have a lot less air/bulk to carry. Excellent.
This one is large enough, at 40 litres, to get a decent sleeping bag inside. A bonus is when you are in your bag you can also use this as an adjustable air pillow, with or without some clothes inside. Good job this.
Footnote. Although one of the illustrations shows a Coyote Tan coloured Dri-Sak With Air Valve, at time of writing only the Olive Green version is available from stocks through snugpak.com but the standard Dri-Sak is available in five sizes in Black, Coyote Tan or Olive.
