British Army Exercise With Finnish Guard Jaeger Regiment

The Finnish Guard Jaeger Regiment is to exercise in cooperation with a British Army company which will insert by helicopter from Estonia.

Press Release, Helsinki, 08 July 2022: In the Guard Jaeger Regiment (Kaartin Jääkärirykmentti), the Army complementary international exercise and training activity will continue on 11 July 2022 with the strength of circa 150 British Army troops that will arrive at Santahamina to exercise with the Readiness Unit and 2. Military Police Company. Main parts of the troops arrive with helicopter transport from Tallinn, Estonia. Helicopter flights will be operated on Saturday 9 July and Monday 11 July.

The exercise and training activity cooperation will be participated by both conscripts and service personnel. The objective of the activity is to test and develop force competences and to deepen international interoperability and connectivity. The activity will be coordinated with the implementation of conscript training.

The exercise and training activity will be commanded by Commander of the Guard Jaeger Regiment, Colonel Asko Kopra.
