KMW and Elbit Rocket Artillery Cooperation Agreement

KMW (Krauss-Maffei Wegmann) and Elbit Systems have signed a rocket artillery strategic cooperation Memorandum of Understanding.

Press Release, Munich, 29 July 2022: Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), Ulm-based defence company Elbit Systems Deutschland, and Elbit Systems Land have signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to further expand the strategic cooperation.

The background is the modernisation and expansion of capabilities of the European Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). In this context, Elbit will provide a modern active agent portfolio so that the requirements of MLRS users can be fully met, from range-enhanced rockets to practice ammunition. The users will thus also be able to train combined arms operations.

This cooperation will address the growing European interest in Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) capabilities. As part of the MOU, Elbit Systems will provide an advanced portfolio of MLRS capabilities, from practice ammunition to long-range rockets.
