Oshkosh Defense has been awarded an $888 million US DoD contract modification for further Joint Light Tactical Vehicles and Trailers.

US DoD Contract Award, 30 November 2020: Oshkosh Defense LLC, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was awarded an $888,422,571 modification (P00451) to contract W56HZV-15-C-0095 to exercise options (1,001 trailers; 2,679 vehicles; and 6,725 kits) for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Family of Vehicles for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force.

Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2022. Fiscal 2019, 2020 and 2021 other procurement (Army); 2021 procurement (Marine Corps); 2020 and 2021 procurement (Air Force); and 2021 procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $888,422,571 were obligated at the time of the award. The US Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

Press Release,Oshkosh, 01 December 2020: Oshkosh Defense Receives $911 Million JLTV Order From US Army.

Oshkosh Defense, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation company, announced today the US Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal has placed an order for 2,738 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV), 1,001 companion trailers, and associated kits. The Oshkosh Defense JLTVs will be supplied to the US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, and US Air Force along with a select group of NATO and non-NATO allies. This is the second largest order of Oshkosh Defense JLTVs, with a contract value of $911 million.

The Oshkosh Defense JLTV is designed for the future battlefield with reconfiguration capabilities to meet the demands of the Warfighter’s evolving mission requirements. It offers the world’s only light tactical vehicle with the protection, off road mobility, network capability and firepower options to manoeuvre with combat formations.

As part of this order, 59 vehicles will be delivered to NATO and non-NATO allies – including Lithuania, North Macedonia, and Brazil. Editor’s Footnote: On 18 December 2019 Oshkosh Defense announced “the US Army Contracting Command – Warren has placed an $803.9 million order for 2,721 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs). Additional orders from the US Army Contracting Command are anticipated within this fiscal year.”
