The Nexter Group: Nexter offers versatile, reliable and innovative solutions that meet the operational requirements of its customers. The group has a range going from armoured vehicles to artillery systems and also masters strategic sub-assemblies, such as weapon systems and ammunition or robots and embedded electronic systems. Nexter is able to support its products throughout their life cycle by offering a wide range of support solutions and services, as well as Maintenance in Operational Conditions. Nexter is fully mobilised to meet the challenges of the SCORPION programme, through the development of the new VBMR-GRIFFON armoured vehicles (in production), EBRC-JAGUAR, Lightweight VBMR-SERVAL, the renovation of LECLERC MBTs and the future SCORPION increments.

Nexter has a strong international presence, with numerous recent export successes, such as the CAESAR 8×8 sold to the Royal Danish Army, the CaMo program with Belgium and the TITUS armoured vehicle acquired by the Czech Republic. The group continues to develop its commercial presence throughout the world and had 52% of export orders booked in 2018.

Products Presented at MILIPOL PARIS: In a security context characterised by the threat of terrorism and organised crime, security forces express a clear need for increasingly sophisticated systems and equipment. The Nexter group has been involved with security forces since 2015. TITUS Homeland Security has, for example, been used to protect COP 21 and is actively used by the RAID French police intervention unit. NERVA robots are already being used by several security forces. The group’s experience in military systems and equipment is perfectly transferable to the needs of the security forces. Indeed, it is also a question here of enabling operators to successfully carry out their mission while guaranteeing them a high level of protection.

On the occasion of MILIPOL Paris, the Nexter group wishes to highlight its reliable and innovative security solutions. Visitors can discover on the Nexter stand: two vehicles, a selection of ammunition, a robotics range, but also the ViPer camera, and digital solutions.

TITUS and the Serval Gendarmerie are showcased on the vehicle part. A live version of TITUS 6×6 armoured vehicle is present on the stand, in its Homeland version. With the group’s experience in wheeled armoured vehicles, it is capable of carrying out a wide range of missions, from policing to fire support and troop transport. Proven by the RAID intervention unit, it benefits from the continuous feedback of this elite unit of the French Police Nationale.

The Serval Gendarmerie 4×4 armoured vehicle is present on the stand in 1/10 scale model format. Compact, it is easily deployable, while offering a high level of protection. Equipped with a powerful motorisation and equipped with a clearing blade, it is able to open any blocked path by pushing up to 6 tons of debris/obstacles. Whether on or off-road, Serval Gendarmerie supports and protects with its fire support capabilities, its 4 cameras and 5 diascopes offering 360° vision, as well as its fire, projectile and paint spray protection.

Nexter’s robotics range is represented by the NERVA robot with its payloads and a drone. NERVA is a mini robot that can be declined in three versions, from the smallest to the largest: NERVA S, NERVA LG and NERVA XX. Lightweight and compact for the S and LG models, NERVA allows the user to explore a hostile and/or dangerous area without exposing himself. The XX model, with its more robust gauge and tracks, can operate on difficult terrain and slip through everywhere. The wide range of payloads allows NERVA to perform all types of missions, from surveillance to reconnaissance, and to handle all types of threats, including IEDs. Already satisfying many customers (various French police units, special forces, military), it is robust, reliable and fully operational.

To face NRBC threats, the NBC-Sys range will be present on GICAT’s GIE NRBC stand. Visitors can discover the EVATOX, an evacuation mask for CBRN attack victims, it has the unique feature of being available in three sizes for civilians: baby, child and adult. Nearby is the FRH16 system, composed of a protective hood, blowers for long-term intervention in contaminated areas, and Camelbak for transporting and consuming all kinds of liquids (water, vitamin concentrates, etc.).

Last but not least, digital equipment and systems are showcased on Nexter’s booth, with the presence of the FINDEAGLE kit to equip drones and information systems for all types of vehicles, and the ViPeR camera.
