New Rheinmetall Challenger 2 Turret

At today’s International Armoured Vehicles (IAV) conference in London the keen-eyed might have spotted a photo of a new Challenger 2 turret, writes Bob Morrison.

This backdrop photo on the Rheinmetall display exhibited some interesting differences from images of in-service Challenger 2, not least of these being the lack of rifling visible in the end of the barrel. We will bring you more details in due course, as the next session of the conference is just commencing, with our friends at Revision on the podium and we need to get the story.
