Press Release, Stockport, 28 March 2023: WFEL will team up with military hardware supplier KMW at the largest defence and security trade show in Latin America, LAAD, taking place 11-14 April in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

WFEL will showcase its range of rapid-deploy Military Bridging Systems which are already widely supplied to armies around the world. The DSB (Dry Support Bridge) can be deployed in around an hour by only eight personnel, allowing vehicles of up to120 tonnes to cross a 46-metre gap. The MGB Medium Girder Bridge is modular, allowing a variety of bridging configurations to be deployed, to meet military requirements and local terrain.

WFEL’s DSB or Dry Support Bridges provides temporary infrastructure and can be used both in combat situations and natural disasters to enhance an Army’s ability to manoeuvre across complex physical terrain, providing both wet and dry gap crossing capability. The DSB systems have already been procured by the US, Australian, Turkish, Swiss and Philippines armed forces and WFEL has supplied over 500 MGB systems to armed forces worldwide.
