On Wednesday June 5th, RAF A400M Atlas transport aircraft, part of the Air Mobility Force out of RAF Brize Norton, flew 16 Air Assault Brigade personnel over Sannerville in France as part of a mass paradrop in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Operation OVERLORD. The allied invasion of Normandy on 6th June 1944 marked the largest multinational amphibious attack and operational military airdrop in history; D-Day is considered the beginning of the end of WWII in Europe.
