In this latest document His Majesty’s current Government sets out future commitments on defence spending, including pledging committing to 2.5% of GDP in 2030. Should readers wish to know more, the full 20-page statement [PDF] can be found on this link.

Editor’s Comment: These plans are for the next seven financial years, 2024-25 through to 2030-31, but it should be borne in mind that a UK General Election needs to be called by December 2024 and there is no guarantee that the next Government would honour the contents of ‘Defending Britain’.
