As you plan your travels for 2020 perhaps you might need to factor in a nice mug to keep your brew warm for a decent amount of time.

The 12 US fluid ounce Trigger-Action Travel Mug from the Stanley Classic range is quoted as good for seven hours hot and ten hours cold, but I suspect not many will make use of the full duration with a drink-through mug. US brand Stanley have been making drinks containers since 1913, when William Stanley made his first steel flasks, so the company has had a bit of experience in this field. Stanley items are very durable and I can vouch for this firsthand. They will happily take the knocks of normal life away from the home or office but are equally good as a desktop companion.

These mugs (shown is a 350ml variant from the range) come in a number of colours, this being wine which maybe appropriate as we have just passed the festive season. Perhaps next December, when you head up that mountain to see in the New Year, it will keep your tipple safe and at the correct temperature. There you go. I have just given you an idea, haven’t I? I did go up Snowdon on Christmas Day once, but not at New Year.

Usefully this mug is dishwasher safe and although pretty easy to wash when out and about, it is always good to give mugs a good clean out when the opportunity arises. The mechanical components are also very easy to remove for cleaning. I like the no handle design, which is slightly shaped to make it safer to hold. It fits in the average vehicle mug holder and is also handy for slipping into a pouch or pocket as necessary.

So if you didn’t get a mug for Christmas, may be this is one for you.
