Press Statement, 25 November 2021: As a result of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Undersea Defence Technology (UDT), organised by Clarion Events, scheduled for 15-17 December in Rostock, will no longer take place in 2021.
The decision has been taken to delay the event due to ongoing disruption to international travel, discussions with key stakeholders and government restrictions on conferences and exhibitions being enforced during the month of December 2021. As a result, UDT 2022 will next take place on 7-9 June at the Ahoy Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Tracy Bebbington, Event Director, Clarion Events Defence & Security, added: “It is with great sadness that we have taken the decision to postpone UDT 2021. The escalating situation in Europe means that there is too much uncertainty surrounding being able to host the event safely next month. This decision is in the best interests of the health and safety of our attendees, speakers and partners. We look forward to welcoming the UDT community back together again in Rotterdam next June.”
Clarion Events is one of the largest exhibition organisers in the world and holds the safety of all event attendees as its highest priority. As such the company is looking ahead to how physical distancing measures can be incorporated into the planning of all our events in the future and is contributing to broader government and event industry initiatives to support this.
