Press Release, Bolzano, 03 November 2021: Iveco Defence Vehicles is glad to attend FEINDEF 2021 (03 – 05 November 2021), the International Defence and Security Fair held in Madrid.
Iveco Defence Vehicles is exhibiting one of its most prestigious platforms – the SUPERAV. This has been the base for the development, in cooperation with BAE Systems, of the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) for the US Marine Corps.
The SUPERAV is an advanced 8×8 open-ocean capable vehicle equipped with a new 6-cylinder and 700 horsepower power pack, which provides best in class performance. On multiple occasions this vehicle has proven is outstanding mobility on all terrains.
The SUPERAV has an under-armour volume of more than 14m³ and can carry a crew of three in blast-mitigating positions as well as up to 13 of troops in a protected compartment with a suspended interior seat structure. These features guarantee improved survivability and force protection over currently fielded systems.
