DEF20: First US Strategic Sealift Ship Arrives

The first US Strategic Sealift Ship, the ARC Endurance, berthed earlier today in Bremerhaven and commenced offloading armour loaded in Savannah.

News Release, 20 February 2020: The ARC Endurance vessel arrives to the ports of Bremerhaven, Germany on Feb. 20th, bearing more than 1200 pieces of U.S. military equipment. The ARC Endurance is the first vessel to bring [US] military equipment to Europe in support of the Defender Europe 20 [DEF20] exercise, which is the largest deployment of US-based forces to Europe for an exercise in more than 25 years.
