The GRUB’S heritage goes right back to the late 1700s through no less than eight generations, with a trail of well-known names amongst the products and users. These days their aim is to produce, in the UK, comfortable footwear with good grippy soles that keep the water out and the warmth in.

I have recently been using a pair of GRUB’S new Explore walking boots and have not been disappointed. They live up to their reputation. From sloshing around our local harbour to walking up on Dartmoor, they have kept my feet dry and comfortable. Have not been out in the cold with these yet, but I am sure they will perform as required.

Now I have to say the Navy colour if not really my thing, though for sure many will like it, but there is also a Charcoal version for those who prefer a more subtle colour. Both use the HYDRI-FUSE breathable uppers along with Vibram RGS Hiker soles, which offer good grip. The boots are designed to be warm in cold conditions helped along by the special HYDRI-FUSE lining and NITROCELL insoles which contain microscopic nitrogen bubbles.

GRUB’S pack a fair few design features into these boots to make sure they do what they say they will. They are produced in full sizes from UK4 up to UK13.
