Northrop Grumman Systems awarded $252 million hybrid contract to provide the USMC NGHTS (Next Generation Targeting Handheld System).

US DoD Contract Notice, Washington DC, 17 February 2022: Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Apopka, Florida, is awarded a $252,000,000 hybrid (firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity) contract to provide for the Next Generation Targeting Handheld System (NGHTS).
The effort includes low-rate initial production, full-rate production, testing, spare parts, engineering services, logistics support, training and documentation. Work will be performed in Apopka, Florida, and is expected to be completed by February 2030. No funds will be obligated at time of award. Funds will be obligated on individual task orders as they are issued.
The contract is a follow-on to the NGHTS Other Transaction Authority (OTA) Agreement prototyping effort, awarded in September 2018. It is a production contract awarded without the use of competitive procedures in accordance with 10 U.S. Code §2371b(f)(2). The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
