Press Release, Millbrook, 17 June 2026: The National Armaments Director Group (NADG) and Army Headquarters have officially announced the central narrative for DVD2026: ‘Connected for Combat – Aligning People, Systems and Decisions’.

Taking place at UTAC Millbrook on 16 and 17 September 2026, DVD is the premier biennial event for the land equipment sector. The 2026 theme reflects a critical evolution in how modern capability is generated, highlighting the necessity of joined-up organisations, integrated force elements and coherent decision-making across both defence and industry.

DVD26 shows the powerful impact we can have when UK defence partners are connected and armed forces, government and industry partners combine their experiences and strengths to design, deliver and exploit the capabilities our army and nation need. The narrative of connections underscores an increasingly integrated operating model. This approach demonstrates new ways of doing business in support of Defence Reform, ensuring that the Land Enterprise remains lethal, resilient and ready to meet the challenges of the future.

DVD2026 will serve as a vital waypoint in demonstrating the opportunities inherent in the British Army’s approach to mass and lethality, demonstrating how elements of equipment can work together to reinforce one another and strengthen capabilities. The event will feature a comprehensive programme of activities designed to reinforce the connections narrative and align people, systems and decisions. DVD2026 ensures that the UK’s most agile innovators and established industry partners are fully integrated into the future of Land Warfare.

Major General Lizzie Faithfull-Davies CBE explains: “This year’s theme, Connected for Combat, reflects the vital importance of bringing people together to have the frank, open and face-to-face conversations necessary to understand our mutual requirements.

“Through the establishment of the National Armaments Director Group and ongoing Defence Reform, we’re creating a more coherent delivery environment. By connecting the unique perspectives of our industry partners, from the Primes through to the SMEs, with our own lived experience, we can ensure that we’re delivering the lethal, resilient and integrated capabilities our soldiers need for the future.”
