Press Release, Migdal HaEmek, 04 May 2023: Steadicopter, a leader in the Rotary Unmanned Aerial Systems (RUAS) industry, to present, for the first time in Greece, the Golden Eagle – the ultimate unmanned helicopter with precise hit capabilities.

Based on the combat-proven Black Eagle 50E platform, the Golden Eagle incorporates AI-based technology and a remotely-operated robotic weaponry payload. The AI-based technology enables superior situational awareness and autonomous multi-target classification and tracking, while the payload locks on the target, tracks it and ensures precise target hit.

The Golden Eagle integrates the Smartshooter’s SMASH Dragon system – a unique stabilisation concept with proprietary target acquisition, tracking algorithms and sophisticated computer vision capabilities that allow accurate hitting of static and moving targets. The system can employ various types of assault rifles, sniper rifles, 40mm and other munitions with great precision.

Through advanced data processing, the AI system autonomously identifies and distinguishes between different types of targets, such as person or vehicle, whether they are in motion or stationery, and whether they have previously been present in the field.

Lightweight and thereby enabling long mission endurance, extremely cost-effective, simple to operate, and easy to maintain, the Golden Eagle has vertical take-off and landing capability for successful mission completion.

Steadicopter will also highlight its Black Eagle 50H – A true game-changer for uncrewed operations. The BE50H provides its users with the most cost-effective solution for both ISR and pinpoint CAS operations, in both the land and maritime domains, by enabling a unique combination of impressive flight endurance and an extremely versatile sensor suite. With its open architecture modular design, the BE50H accommodates the latest mission payloads, such as BIRD Aerosystems’ µMPR. Coupled with the µMPR, the BE50H provides a first-ever combination of a small tactical RUAS (with a near-to-zero operational, maintenance & logistic footprint), capable of wide-area persistent surveillance and coverage for long durations on the one hand, with all the advantages of the rotary-UAS, such as persistent hovering, which enable additional concepts of operations for many mission applications, on the other.

“Maritime and land border protection are prominent needs in the world today Today’s complex combat environment.” says Noam Lidor, VP Sales, Marketing & Business Development at Steadicopter. “The unique proven advantages of both the Golden Eagle and The Black Eagle 50H enable forces both at sea and in land, to achieve mission success, while identify and locate hostile targets at long ranges.”
