Changan Stellantis Landtrek Surfaces in Europe

The Changan Landtrek pick-up truck, developed in China and now manufactured internationally by Stellantis, has this month surfaced in Europe.

Although not currently marketed in Europe, this Chinese-developed pick-up aimed primarily at buyers in South American, sub-Saharan African and Far East territories was not only being offered to potential military customers at DEFEA in Athens last week but is also being displayed at FEINDEF in Madrid this week. The prime reason for the latest appearance is the recent Spanish MoD procurement of a batch of conversions, through Iturri, to replace part of its ageing military light utility vehicle inventory. It is my intention to delve a little deeper into this ‘new kid on the block’ once the dust settles following the current round of defence expos. Is it another UK MoD LMV contender? Probably not… but who knows what the future holds in the current political and financial climate?
