It is some time since I have covered a CAMELBAK product. I came by this at the OTS event and since then I have had plenty of opportunities to use it. It’s useful, light, convenient and, of course, primarily aimed at those who ride bikes. As such it fits the standard bike bottle holders, which also goes for those found in most vehicles as well, so the Podium is definitely multifunctional for daily life.
The Podium is a squeezy bottle and well-shaped for holding, making it easier and quicker to get a good slug of drink. Importantly, the cap on the Podium has a self-sealing valve so you have to suck or squeeze to allow the liquid to pass but this acts as a self-sealing device so the bottle is more or less spill-resistant… even if you give it a good shake when upside down. To back this up there is also a quarter turn, easy to operate, valve lock. Even with this unlocked the fluid will not come out unless you squeeze the bottle. This internal assembly comes apart to enable better cleaning when required.
