STDE24 ~ SABER STRIKE Deployment Underway

The US Army’s SABER STRIKE deployment, part of the STEADFAST DEFENDER 2024 or STDE24 exercise series, in now underway.

Yesterday, Tuesday 09 April, a convoy of US 2nd Cavalry Regiment (2nd Dragoons) vehicles normally based in Vilseck in Bavaria travelled through Frankenberg in Saxony and crossed the Polish border near Jędrzychowice on a tactical road march to join Exercise SABRE STRIKE. Part of NATO’s STEADFAST DEFENDER 2024 series, the exercise series is intended to test the Alliance’s new defence plans and its ability to quickly deploy forces over distance.
