On Tuesday (27 May) to coincide with IDET 2025 in Brno, KNDS announced serial production of the Czech CAESAR 8×8 will commence in June.

Press Release, Amsterdam, 27 May 2025: IDET 2025: Serial production of CAESAR 8×8 in June 2025. 40% of the CAESAR® 8×8 will be produced locally, strengthening the domestic industrial base. Excalibur Army is responsible for final assembly, Retia for communication equipment and fire control system hardware, Tatra Defence Vehicles and Tatra Trucks for the cabin and chassis. Cooperation with STV is also underway for the certification of Czech-made 155mm ammunition. The Czech Army will soon receive the MRCT (Mixed Reality Crew Trainer). This mixed reality solution allows an entire crew to collaboratively train on the CAESAR system without taking a vehicle out of service.
