Organised by the Egyptian Armament Authority of the Ministry of Defence, EDEX is an international defence exhibition held biennially at the Egypt International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Cairo, showcasing advancements in air, land, and sea military technologies. The four-day event is billed as being a leading defence platform covering the Africa and Middle East region, which brings together senior military leaders, decision-makers, and representatives of major international and Egyptian companies to showcase the latest technological advancements in land, sea, and air systems.

JOINT-FORCES was granted access during the expo build-up on Sunday afternoon to take a few images on uncluttered stands before the crowds descended and a few snaps of those subjects which most caught my attention are included here. From Monday afternoon until Thursday things look like they could be very busy for me, so please excuse if there is slightly less fresh content uploaded to the website this week. EDEX is a little smaller than the major European defence expos, but that doesn’t mean its any less interesting.
