These waterproof over-trousers (Walking Men’s Rainpant) from Sprayway are perfect for those inclement days out, writes Mike Gormley.

Yes, its mid-summer here in UK but recently these over-trousers have been a perfect companion. Today it was chucking it down.
In such conditions it is good to have a pair of light and packable waterproof trousers which are easy to put on and take off in the changing weather. This pair from Sprayway easily fit into a light rucksack and as they have near full-length side zips are easy to get on over your footwear without having to take it off… and to get them back off once the rain stops. These side zips also work from the top so give good access to pockets in the trousers underneath. This said these are very easy wearing over trousers.
I have to admit I am one of the last to put on waterproof trousers. Often they tend to be noisy and a bit baggy and not so comfortable to wear. These are, in reality, good to wear and so the rush to take them off as soon as the rain has gone is not so urgent. My wife soon noticed how rustle free they are. They are comfy to wear and move with you as the material is quite stretchy. The material is HydroDry and rip-stop so durable.
They have certainly kept the water out from my usage so far. The waist is elasticated with an additional pull cord adjustment to keep them up over your other trousers. At the base of the legs they have adjusters to prevent the flapping about. All in all these are really good to wear waterproofs and I know I will be very pleased to have these handy on wet days out.
