These Mono Hi Boots from Craghoppers are definitely aimed at warm and dry conditions and remind me of boots I wore when living and working in Africa many years ago. Lightweight, made from canvas, and offering breathability as well as being treated with Nosilife insect repellent.

Of particular interest on these boots is they can be worn as a low type boot but also folded up to offer increased lower leg protection. The conversion takes a few seconds and so can be quickly adapted to changing conditions. The tops, when folded down, can be secured by press stud fixings. When up, they offer useful added protection. The soles are of moulded rubber and offer good grip in the environment these are aimed for as well as good toe protection for both boot and the wearer.

My boots are appropriately UK Size 13 and they are of lets say a ‘generous’ fit. But assuming these are most likely to be worn in hot conditions where feet need space and swell, this latitude will be welcomed. The colour of these is Rubble* with a darker Mid Khaki option.
