Russian peacekeeper checkpoints in Nagorno-Karabakh have been provided with modern modular protected facilities and equipment.

Russian MoD Press Release, 12 December 2020: Russian peacekeepers have equipped observation posts with ‘Checkpoint’ fortifications designed to protect military personnel from small arms and shrapnel, as well as to conduct circular surveillance of the surrounding area.
To achieve these goals, the contours of the ‘Checkpoint’ are equipped with bulk gabions of the GNT-2 and GNT-3 types. This design provides full protection of the Russian peacekeeping contingent of this checkpoint from small arms and shrapnel.
Also, the infrastructure of the post includes two comfortable residential modules for personnel, a block module for cooking and eating, a transport and technological block module equipped with units for supplying constant electricity. All modules are equipped with necessary household equipment, dishes, electrical appliances and heating and air conditioning systems.
¤ In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, a complete cease-fire and all military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh were declared from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10 this year.
A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to monitor the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian peacekeepers provide the security of the return of the citizens to their places of permanent residence and the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh.
