US SECDEF Visits SpecOps At RAF Mildenhall

Official images have been released today of a visit by US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper to 352 Special Operations Wing based at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk.

The purpose of the SECDEF’s visit was threefold: familiarisation with the CV-22B Osprey platform; discuss COVID-19 response; and have a sit-down discussion with airmen on discrimination, racism and prejudice in the Air Force and the workplace. Secretary Esper engaged with Air Commandos who support and enable the AFSOC (US Air Force Special Operations Command) and SOCEUR (US Special Operations Command Europe) objectives for readiness and strategic relationships in the European theatre.
