HAIX Commander GTX ~ First Sighting

HAIX Commander GTX [©HAIX]
The new HAIX Commander GTX mid-height black Police and Special Operations boot model is now available for private purchase.

~

Effectively a replacement for the HAIX KSK 3000 model, which was developed a few years ago for some rather special operators, this waterproof mid-height full leather (2.5mm minimum thickness) boot has a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort 3-ply laminate inner lining and the same Vibram sole as fitted to the HAIX Scout. The new boot model also has individual protective panels at the heel and over the toe, as per the Scout 2.0, rather than the all-round protective rand on the KSK 3000. For ultra-fast donning the lower three pairs of lace eyelets have ball bearings and the upper four pairs are open hooks.

At present I have only seen photos of this new general availability model as COVID-19 cancellations and postponements of late 2020 defence and security expos have prevented it being displayed, but it certainly looks from the photos and basic specification like being another good boot from HAIX.
