For several years I have been aware of the free, yes free, repair system available from Craghoppers but until recently have never taken it up.
I was talking to the Craghoppers folk on their stand at the Outdoor Trade Show quite a while back and mentioned I had a failed zip on one of my fleece garments. This was a shame as I liked it and used it a lot, but eventually the jacket was relegated to the bottom drawer and heading for the garden wear department. “Just send it back and we will get it fixed,” I was told. I never did.

Then not long ago I was talking to the company’s PR team and was told the same, so between us we got things underway to have some very well used and battered garments fixed. It was only the zips on the chest pockets that had given up the fight, in two cases after several years of use, but these somewhat worn fleeces definitely had a good bit of life left in them.

The process is not difficult. Check if the particular issue is covered by the scheme by contacting the Craghoppers Customer Care Team. If agreed, they will send you the relevant vouchers and you then take your garment(s) along to the local Timpson or Johnsons branch (in UKNI) and they will get it sorted. We did this and a couple of weeks later I got my fleeces back with perfectly colour-matched replacement zips, cleaned and ready to go. They are now back in regular use and all for free with just a small amount of effort on my part.

This service is all part of Craghoppers way of doing their bit for garment sustainability. A great idea in my view as it gives items an extended lifespan where a perhaps relatively simple repair, like in my cases a new zip, will lead to a new lease of life. Good for you, Craghoppers.
