I sourced these trousers, in principle, for a trip out to Croatia as I needed an easy to wear, practical pair of trousers that would work for many situations. These fit this bill very well. They are also, easy to wash and dry and light for warm weather but good for cooler or breezy conditions.

The two-way stretch fabric used for these makes them very comfortable to wear for walking and when scrunched up on a budget airline flight. For the traveller, these have two very good sized, well placed leg cargo pockets, secured by zips; perfect to those travel documents which you will need to get at. Once at your destination they work well for maps and phones and so on. Alongside these there are two useful sized open side pockets. There are also rear pockets on either side, but I find I really don’t use these as they can be vulnerable; I never quite get those people who walk about with a phone or wallet sticking out of a back pocket and I don’t like sitting on things in my pockets. Personal choice.

The bottom of the legs have hook and loop adjusters. For me they would not offer all that much as I needed to have them at full adjust to get over my footwear other than sandals, but this feature is handy when you don’t want flappy trouser legs – for example when on a bike.

From a range of four colours, these are designated Pebble. All in all, a pair of universal trousers well suited to the traveller.
