Press Release, Ottawa, 28 May 2026: Today at CANSEC 2026, INKAS Defense and Aerospace, a Canadian armoured vehicle manufacturer and systems integrator, unveils two new solutions to its product ecosystem: the INKAS MLTV (Modular Light Tactical Vehicle) platform and the INKAS ANURI Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

The INKAS MLTV – Next-Gen Modular Multi-Mission Military Tactical Vehicle: Designed as a next-generation replacement for legacy light utility vehicle fleets, the INKAS MLTV was developed through a joint program with INEOS Automotive and WELP Group, addressing evolving operational requirements across military and institutional environments.

  • Built on a proven OEM platform with full factory-backed engineering and lifecycle support, its modular architecture allows the platform to be rapidly configured for a wide range of mission profiles, including armoured transport, reconnaissance, MEDEVAC, assault operations, and search and rescue.
  • A key feature of the MLTV is its scalable bolt-on protection system, enabling protection upgrades without compromising the vehicle’s structural integrity or mobility.
  • This adaptable approach provides defence organisations with greater operational flexibility while supporting long-term mission readiness across diverse environments.

“Legacy fleets are plagued by limited protection against modern threats and also a high sustainment burden,” said David Khazanski CEO at INKAS. “This is why the INKAS MLTV marks a new advancement in the armoured light tactical vehicle market. Our platform offers lifecycle support, while being engineered for modularity, mission adaptability, and modern operational mobility.”

The INKAS ANURI UAV ~ High-Speed AI-Powered Interceptor: Also announced today is the launch of the INKAS ANURI UAV, which is built to detect, track and neutralise drone threats with precision for critical site defence and deployed force protection operations, with a time-to-target of under 80 seconds at a distance of five kilometres.

  • Specifically designed as a modular counter-UAS platform, it can be rapidly deployed via quad-rotor extended vertical takeoff and landing (X-VTOL), silo, vehicle, or hand launch without the need for a prepared launch site.
  • Featuring a modular twist-lock nose, this enables reconfiguration between warhead, sensor, or AI guidance in seconds.
  • Operation of the system is conducted either through First-Person View (FPV) pilot control or AI-assisted terminal guidance, while keeping the operator on-the-loop.

ANURI UAV has been engineered to defeat consumer, commercial, and modified FPV drone threats travelling at speeds of up to 400 km/h and beyond. It also maintains operational integrity and effectiveness in GNSS-denied environments through inertial navigation and AI visual terminal homing.

“The threat landscape has changed fundamentally for critical site defence and force protection due to low-cost drones,” said Margarita Simkin, Chairwoman at INKAS. “We designed the ANURI UAV to be an attritable counter-UAS interceptor platform that meets today’s operational realities without relying solely on exquisite defensive systems. Modularity is at its core, enabling operators to rapidly deploy the system, even via hand launch, while supporting payload reconfiguration in seconds.”

The launch of both products today follows on from last month’s announcement of the M1 MRAP, a next-generation mine-resistant armoured vehicle developed through a strategic Canadian–French defence collaboration with KNDS Mobility. The consistent rollout of new products and capabilities signals INKAS’s continued growth as a trusted systems integrator within the allied defence ecosystem.

Defence and security professionals, procurement teams, and industry partners are also invited to connect with the INKAS team during CANSEC.
