I hate to use the ‘Q’ word on here because that is usually a precursor to chaos breaking out….. but this morning the J-F Inbox is empty for once.

The official opening of Eurosatory in Paris is now just two weeks away and I suspect many businesses are effectively ‘keeping their powder dry’ on the news front for what should the biggest European defence & security sector expo of 2026. However I have other fish to fry before then and hope to maybe bring something a little different to these pages later in the week. In the meantime to break the monotony I’ve uploaded a picture of one of my favourite beach bars, which I briefly managed to visit for the first time in years during a rare free weekend back in mid-April.
