The LIFEVENTURE TiV (Thermally-induced Vacuum) Wide Mouth Vacuum Flask from LIFESYSTEMS has multiple uses, writes Mike Gormley.

This is a highly multi-use drink or food flask from LIFESYSTEMS. Being a double-walled stainless-steel vacuum flask, it is designed to keep things either hot or cold.

Unlike many flasks, this model has a dual top so can be used with a wide mouth for food such as chunky soups or with a more normal opening for thinner liquids; the top being multifunctional and incorporating both modes. Contents should stay hot for up to eight hours or cold for up to twelve.

I think the LIFESYSTEMS designers had a bit of a field day here, to see just how many features they could get into to a single flask. The top is effectively a cup and thoughtfully has a second, ‘buddy cup’ inserted into it as well.

This flask is a chunky, quite easy to stow, shape and also of broad base design so is stable on most surfaces. It has an incorporated fold-away handle which also has fixings for a shoulder/carry strap. This accessory is secure and has click-off fittings for ease of use.

The variant shown here is the 1000 model, so offers 1-litre capacity, and there is also a smaller 800ml version; empty they weigh in at 682g or 633g respectively. Both are available in Black or Black, so a simple choice here and also good for the more tactical-minded of our readers.
