For transporting warm or cold food on the move, LIFESYSTEMS have it covered with their LIFEVENTURE Food Flask, writes Mike Gormley.

It is not always practical to take, or use, a cooker when out and about but it is great to have a warm or cold meal ready to go when you get the chance, or plan to have, while out and about somewhere nice.

Often if I am away at the crack of sparrows, especially in winter, I like to take a warm breakfast with me; usually porridge, either a home DIY mix or a proprietary version. As I am covering this in summer, I should mention I do similar but with a cold breakfast because if a warm morning it is good to keep my breakfast chilled. Additionally, as days gets cooler it is great to take a nice chunky, perhaps home-made, soup with me.

The LIFEVENTURE Food Flask can accommodate all these needs. This wide mouth flask is convenient to carry, having a carry loop on the screw lid, and although made from double walled stainless steel it is not heavy at 347 grammes while able to keep your meal at your desired temperature for plenty long enough. Easy to clean and broad enough to stand firm on rough surfaces, it has a very useful 600ml capacity.

Even if you do not want to take a meal with you, this flask it perfectly good for either a ‘hot wet’ or cold iced drink, so this is a highly practical item of kit from LIFESYSTEMS. Clearly my Food Flask is black, but it comes in three other colours, including a tactical Matt Khaki shade, to suit personal preferences.
