Over the course of the last week US Army troops and equipment have been arriving in Georgia on the Black Sea for Exercise NOBLE PARTNER 2020.
~
NOBLE PARTNER is an annual Georgian Armed Forces and USAREUR (US Army Europe) cooperatively-led exercise conducted at the Vaziani and Camp Norio Training Areas in Georgia, intended to support and enhance the readiness and interoperability of Georgia, the US and participating nations during multinational training operations.
This exercise, which is “designed to enhance regional partnerships and increase US force readiness and interoperability in a realistic, multinational training environment,” allows participants to conduct airborne operations, situational training exercises, live-fire exercises and combined mechanised manoeuvres. Approximately 2,800 troops from France, Georgia, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States are set to participate in the main phase of the exercise, which commences today.
Current pandemic travel restrictions prevent media based outside the country from attending the exercise (originally linked into DEFENDER-Europe) but we hope to be able to bring readers some relevant images, taken by US Army Combat Camera Team photographers, before EndEx on 18th September.
