The Swedish Procurement Agency (FMV) has placed an order with KNDS Deutschland for the delivery of three CV9040D simulators.

Press Release, Munich, 29 November 2024: The Swedish Procurement Agency (FMV) has placed an order with KNDS Deutschland for the delivery of three CV9040D simulators representing the combat support vehicles within the tank company. Each of the CV90 simulators consists of a cabin for the driver, turret crew and infantry squad. This makes it possible to train an entire infantry fighting vehicle crew at the same time. The Swedish command and information system is also implemented in the simulation.
The CV90 simulators will be integrated into the LEOPARD 2 simulators already commissioned from KNDS Deutschland in December 2023 at the Swedish Army’s Land Warfare Center. This will enable joint, fully networked training of main battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles at company or battalion level for the first time.
The simulators will be delivered in 2028.
