Press Release, London, 16 August 2021: AERALIS, the transformational British military jet developer, will be showcasing its innovative modular jet design at DSEI (Defence and Security Equipment International) 2021. DSEI is taking place from Tuesday 14th September – Friday 17th September at the ExCel exhibition centre in London, and AERALIS will be exhibiting in the Aerospace Zone.
Rapidly developing and employing a generational leap in design toolsets, the AERALIS team will be demonstrating the model-based systems engineering approach that is enabling the team to effectively assess the aircraft performance now, in a digital test and evaluation environment, yielding significant risk reduction and programme benefits. The AERALIS Smart Integrated Digital Enterprise will also enable fast iteration and certification of the modular aircraft design to fulfil new roles with new configurations, while unifying design and operational data to support customers in optimising their operations.
Situated in the Aerospace Zone opposite the RAF Tempest stand in Hall 7, the AERALIS stand will feature a scale model of the AERALIS jet that demonstrates the flexibility of the modular design, with the senior leadership team on-hand to discuss the ways the AERALIS ‘One System. Many Missions’ approach supports the ambitions of customers such as the RAF’s to rationalise their future fleets. AERALIS’ first aircraft will support advanced training solutions for customers with further versions providing operational capability.
As with a large portion of industry, AERALIS’ appearance at DSEI will be their first in-person event in over a year, and it follows a year of exciting developments for the UK-based modular aircraft developer. Most recently, AERALIS successfully completed a Teaming Agreement with Thales in the UK to prepare development of innovative training system processes, devices and systems through which to develop and operate the AERALIS platforms. These activities came in the wake of the signing of a three-year contract with the Royal Air Force’s Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) for research and development into AERALIS’ modular approach to the design and development of its future aircraft.
