UK Defence Sector joins the 34th MSPO ~ the new Polish-British Treaty opens the next stage of industrial and military cooperation.

The result of this cooperation is an increasingly strong presence of British industry at the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition ~ Międzynarodowy Salon Przemysłu Obronnego or MSPO ~ held from 8 to 11 September 2026, at Targi Kielce. British enterprises will exhibit a comprehensive range of systems spanning land warfare, aerospace, autonomous systems, intelligence, tactical communications, cyber defence, and critical infrastructure protection. This strong corporate showing arrives at a defining moment in London-Warsaw relations—a new era where defence-industrial integration has become a primary instrument for safeguarding Europe.
The New Treaty Redefines the Bilateral Partnership: Relations between Poland and the United Kingdom have reached an unprecedented high-water mark. This historic closeness was formally codified on 27 May 2026, with the signing of the landmark Treaty on Defence and Security Partnership, an agreement that fundamentally expands the scope of their strategic alignment.
The treaty moves far beyond conventional military cooperation, laying out a rigorous framework for defence-industrial co-development, collaborative R&D into emerging technologies, enhanced troop interoperability, cyber security synergy, the protection of vulnerable subsea and energy networks, and optimised military mobility across Europe. Crucially, the document places a premium on reinforcing NATO’s Eastern Flank, enhancing collective deterrence, and building highly resilient, redundant defence supply chains. The treaty sends an unmistakable signal: the Anglo-Polish defence relationship is moving past simple off-the-shelf procurement and transitioning into deep industrial co-production, technology transfer, and corporate joint ventures.
For British companies, Poland has become one of the most critical and dynamic defence markets in Europe. Conversely, for the Polish defence sector, closer alignment with British partners offers a direct line to world-class technological IP and entry into prestigious international R&D programmes. There will also be a plethora of manufacturers of advanced optoelectronic and photonic systems, such as Raptor Photonics and Sentinel Photonics, whose technologies enhance the reconnaissance capabilities of modern armed forces.
A significant part of the exhibition will also belong to companies specialising in military mobility and battlefield engineering. Pearson Engineering has been developing solutions for armoured and engineer forces for years, while MSI Defence Systems provides weapons systems for land and sea platforms. The exhibitors list also includes Cambridge Aerospace, Astute Electronics, OpenWorks Engineering, Draken Europe, CSST Limited, IQHQ Limited, Exsel Group, Rebound Electronics, SK Defence UK, Roxel, Summit Defence, Trypillian and representatives of the UK Ministry of Defence, which underlines the official commitment of the British administration to the development of cooperation with the Polish defence sector.
Experiences from Ukraine are Changing Industry Priorities: The war in Ukraine has shown that the effectiveness of armed forces is determined not only by the number of combat platforms, but above all by the ability to quickly acquire information, conduct electronic warfare, protect infrastructure and integrate data from multiple sources.
It is no coincidence that most British companies present at MSPO specialise in these areas. Solutions developed by UK companies address the most important needs of modern armies – from countering unmanned systems through secure communications to digital battlefield management. For Poland, which is building modern armed forces and strengthening its position as NATO’s logistics and industrial centre on the eastern flank, cooperation with the British defence sector means the opportunity to participate in projects that set the directions for the development of military technologies for the coming decades.
